Storybook Science: Seed Dispersal Class Kit

We at STEAMboat Studio want every child to have the opportunity for fun and engaging hands-on STEAM learning experiences, especially in the classroom.

Start by reading an engaging picture book and then explore different ways that plants disperse seeds. Model seeds that fly, explode and stick!

This kit includes a NGSS standards aligned printed lesson plan that includes vocabulary, science background and activity instructions, as well as supplies needed for a class of 30 students.

We recommend these activities for preschool to 8th grade. Differentiation in the form of more advanced prep or hands-on assistance for younger students or more detailed explanations for older students may be necessary.
