Hydraulic Machines Class Kit

We at STEAMboat Studio want every child to have the opportunity for fun and engaging hands-on STEAM learning experiences, especially in the classroom.

Our students love learning about Hydraulic machines. In this lesson your students will learn how fluid pressure can transfer forces. Then they will each build a hydraulic crane to explore how hydraulics are used in machines.

This kit includes a printed NGSS standards aligned lesson plan that includes vocabulary, science background and activity instructions, as well as supplies needed for a class of 30 students.

This lesson can be used for students from 2nd - 8th grade. Some additional prep and/or one on one help may be required for younger students, or students with fine motor challenges.
