Scale of the Solar System Class Kit

We at STEAMboat Studio want every child to have the opportunity for fun and engaging hands-on STEAM learning experiences, especially in the classroom.

The solar system is BIG!! Help your students learn just how big it really is by taking a walking tour through the solar system and creating an art project to explore the scale of the planets and the distance between them.

This kit includes a NGSS standards aligned printed lesson plan that includes vocabulary, science background and activity instructions, as well as supplies needed for a class of 30 students.

We recommend these activities for 2nd to 8th grade. Differentiation in the form of more advanced prep or hands-on assistance for younger students or more detailed explanations for older students may be necessary.
