Storybook Science: Wind Lesson Plan

We at STEAMboat Studio want every child to have the opportunity for fun and engaging hands-on STEAM learning experiences, especially in the classroom.

What is wind? Why does it blow? How does wind lift things up? Start with an exciting picture book, learn about forces and then each student will build and fly a kite to explore the power of wind.

This is a downloadable digital lesson plan that is NGSS standards aligned and includes vocabulary, science background, activity instructions and supply list. No supplies are included in this item.

We recommend these activities for Kindergarten to 8th grade. Differentiation in the form of more advanced prep or hands-on assistance for younger students or more detailed explanations for older students may be necessary.
